Troy Aikman Baby!
Troy Aikman was at the restaurant where we were having dinner and I asked Nick to go see if he would take a pic with Jack. Nick hesitated........we were in a restaurant after all, but luckily Troy was hanging around outside after dinner ..........and when your are in a parking lot you are fair game. So Nick asked Troy if he would take a picture with Jackson and he graciously agreed and then wished us a Merry Christmas! You can bet this will be on Jackson's wll very soon!

5 Years!!!!
It amazes me all the things Nick and I have experienced as husband and wife in these five years........... marriage, loseing my income, THREE KIDS, loss of Nick's job, several moves, financial struggels, living with family, Nick starting a new job, purchaseing a house......and those are just the major events! As crazy as it has all been I can't picture shareing those things with anyone else! I am so thankful that my husband is my best friend! I enjoy our day to day life together so much and pray that by God's grace we will have a life time of day to days!
I love my husband!!!

Giving Thanks
Well as is the tradition in our family, Thanksgiving Lunch was promptly at noon at Nanny's.
We all gathered to enjoy great food and sweet fellowship with aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, siblings, parents and of course the off spring of above mentioned (cousins and siblings). SEVENTEEN off spring to be exact. At my grandmother's request my sister and I were given the task of gathering all present GREAT GRAND CHILDREN for a kiddo photo. 16 of the 17 were in attendance! (We missed you Jonathan) As I'm sure you can see this was not a photo of teen agers or even school age children, oh no, all but four of them were under the age of four. So as you can see not all involved parties were particularly excited about sitting still for the pic. Yet, in all the insanity were many smiles and laughter (mostly from the parents)
SO HERE THEY ARE (Back row left to right)

Yes! Holliday Season is upon us!
I know I went from Halloween colors to Christmas colors but brown and orange ( while prevalent in my wardrobe) is not an attractive combo for the blog.

Totally TREAT!!!!!!
The kids had so much fun last night! We went to Aunti Ria's house with Yia Yia and Aunt Krissy and then trick or treated in her neighborhood, which was so great because there was enough going on for it to be fun but not so much that it was mayhem. Jackson, being the old pro that is, was all about the trick or treating from the word go..........Katelyn on the other hand took a little more convincing (as she does with all things). Once those first two pieces of candy hit the bottom of her bucket she was good to go! We are so thankful to have family close by and we love that they share theses moments in our lives!

Saying goodbye
Our Pediatritian retired today. He has been in practice for 54 years and it was so neat to see all the former patients that came back to see him. We are going to miss him and his precious staff so much! I am sure we will never have the wonderful experience of having everyone in a doctor's office know our names and the names of our children the moment they see us! We will miss them but we wish them all a happy retirement!

TO THE PATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We go to this pumpkin patch every year with our friends the Allens. We always have a great time trying to get all the kids to sit and smile for the camera rather than run and play like normal children. After the torturous photo shoot, the kids really do have a blast chasing each other and falling all over the pumpkins.
Happy Fall!

Why the Ethiopian Clock??????
I added the clock that tells us what time it is in Ethiopia because that is where our sweet little niece or nephew (or both) is right now. So when you or I look at that clock we can say a prayer for the precious heart (s) that will soon be apart of the Newsome family. We love them already and can't wait to finally hold Shawn and Jami's children!
